For the sake of living

Living for a cause, I thought, is the only way not to die for nothing.

Feminism? Religion? Planet earth? And so many others fought for and against.

What do I live for? I kept asking. Then I realized, I live for the sake of living. For family. Love. Friendship. Music. For caring and sharing.

I live to encounter more tears of joy, and the tears after hard laughter. To witness someone I care about smile and strive to be the reason behind it.

Living to embrace the ones who cry, and lend them a strongrer shoulder. To learn more and become wiser, take something from this world and give it all back

To dance with the music, and relish the smell of dusty rain. And most importantly, to appreciate the beauty around me, in all its shapes.

The world does not need more fighting. But there sure is space for so much more.
